AIJSTR is a global, peer-reviewed, open-access interdisciplinary journal. The journal primarily focuses on engineering, fundamental and applied sciences, and computational disciplines, and accepts eligible relevant interdisciplinary research.

General Manuscript Preparation Standards

All manuscripts submitted for formal online submission must be written in formal, grammatically accurate, standard American English with rigorous academic expression, objective argumentation and standardized academic terminology. Non-native English-speaking authors are recommended to conduct professional language polishing to ensure manuscript readability, academic accuracy and consistent linguistic norms. Poor language quality that seriously hinders reviewers’ comprehension of research content may lead to desk rejection during initial screening.

All manuscripts for formal submission must be original, independently completed, never fully or partially published worldwide, and not simultaneously under peer review by any other journal, conference proceeding or publishing platform. Parallel submission, duplicate publication, self-plagiarism, and fragmented split publication of a single study are strictly prohibited per global academic integrity standards.

All authors must format their manuscripts strictly following the unified template standards prior to submission. All structural and editorial policy requirements listed on this page remain permanently binding for all submissions.

Authors must securely preserve all original raw experimental data, lab records, test footage, research source code and supporting supplementary materials for a minimum of five years after their article is formally published online. The editorial team reserves the authority to request full access to these original research records for random verification at any point during peer review or post-publication quality oversight。

Standard Academic Manuscript Structure (IMRAD System)

All formal academic manuscripts submitted to the journal must strictly follow the internationally recognized standard IMRAD academic structure framework. Unified structural specifications are permanently implemented for all disciplines and manuscript types:

Introduction: Complete research background, domestic and international research progress, existing research gaps, research significance, research objectives and core innovation points, without redundant subheadings.

Materials and Methods: Fully detailed, repeatable experimental design, research scheme, equipment parameters, sample source information, data collection standards, algorithm principles and experimental operating procedures. All ethical approval statements and compliance explanations must be clearly stated in this section for ethical-related research.

Results: Objective, true and comprehensive presentation of all valid experimental data, computational results, statistical analysis outcomes and observed research phenomena, without subjective discussion, speculative interpretation or repetitive conclusion summary.

Discussion: Systematic comparative analysis with published authoritative literature, in-depth interpretation of the research novelty and academic contribution, objective analysis of research limitations, existing deficiencies and constraint conditions, and reasonable prospect of follow-up research direction and optimization schemes.

Conclusion: Concise, accurate and highly generalized summary of core research findings, key innovations, practical application value and disciplinary enlightenment significance.

Back Matter Modules: Acknowledgments, Author Contribution Statement, Conflict of Interest Declaration, Data Availability Statement, Ethical Compliance Statement, Funding Information, References and Supplementary Material Descriptions (if applicable).

For specific manuscript types such as Short Communications, Technical Notes and Data Articles, appropriate reasonable simplification of partial structural modules is permitted. All structural adjustments must be noted explicitly within the cover letter, and core essential sections cannot be omitted arbitrarily.

Manuscript Title

The title must be concise, accurate, highly generalized, and directly reflect the core research theme, innovative content and research object. Redundant vague prefixes, meaningless modifiers, interrogative sentences and overbroad generalized titles are prohibited. Professional abbreviations are minimized in titles; necessary abbreviations must be industry-unified standard terms. The editorial office reserves the right to put forward revision suggestions for ambiguous, misleading or non-standard titles after communicating with the corresponding author.

The maximum recommended length for article titles is 18 words. Excessively lengthy titles that contain irrelevant background information should be condensed appropriately. Trade names, commercial product brands should be avoided within titles unless they constitute an indispensable core research object.

Abstract

A single-paragraph structured abstract is required, strictly following the logical framework of “Background – Methods – Core Results – Core Conclusions”. The abstract must independently and completely reflect the full research value without citing references, marking chart serial numbers, or using undefined professional abbreviations. The abstract shall not contain redundant descriptive content or unsubstantiated speculative conclusions.

The suggested word count range for abstracts of Original Research Articles is 180–300 words. For Short Communications and Mini Reviews, abstracts between 120–200 words are acceptable.

Keywords

5–8 standardized professional academic keywords are required, covering core disciplines, research objects, research methods and core technical characteristics. Keywords must be accurate, specific and industry-standardized, avoiding excessively broad, ambiguous or non-academic generalized terms.

Authors are advised to select keywords consistent with standard subject vocabulary used in major international academic databases to improve discoverability after publication. Chemical substances, mathematical models, testing techniques and material categories are preferred keyword options.

Figure, Table and Visual Material Specifications

All figures, tables, charts, diagrams, schematics and graphical visual materials involved in the manuscript must be original independently created works or materials with complete legal authorization. All visual content must be high-definition, logically standardized, clearly labeled, and consistent with the text description.

All reused copyrighted materials from third-party published literature must provide complete official written reproduction authorization documents during submission. Unauthorized citation, adaptation, cropping or secondary processing of copyrighted visual materials is strictly prohibited, and non-compliant manuscripts will be rejected in initial screening.

All charts and visual materials must comply with international academic accessibility standards, ensuring readable presentation for all readers including visually impaired and color-blind users. Standardized independent captions must be equipped for all figures and tables, with complete interpretation of symbols, labels and statistical markers.

Color figures are accepted for online publication. When printed in grayscale, all graphical information must remain distinguishable. All images should be supplied with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Vector graphics formats are highly recommended for schematic diagrams and flowcharts to guarantee clarity during scaling.

Statistical notation such as p-values, significance markers, error bar definitions must be uniformly explained within each figure caption and cannot rely solely on descriptions inside the main text.

Supplementary Materials, Research Data Management and Data Availability Policy

Authors may submit standardized supplementary materials to supplement and support the core content of the manuscript, including original experimental raw data, algorithm source code, extended test results, redundant verification experiments, large-scale detailed tables and auxiliary graphical evidence that cannot be fully displayed in the main text.

Core research conclusions, key experimental evidence and innovative verification results must be fully presented in the main text. Important research findings shall not only appear in supplementary materials. All supplementary materials will be permanently archived and publicly displayed together with the formal published article after acceptance.

All submitted manuscripts must be attached with a standardized official Data Availability Statement, clearly specifying the open access status, storage location, access channel, sharing limitations and public release conditions of the original research data. For data that cannot be publicly disclosed due to confidentiality, patent application or institutional constraints, standardized reasonable explanations must be provided.

Supplementary materials undergo internal editorial review; supplementary content will not be independently sent to external peer reviewers in most circumstances. Reviewers retain the right to request authors to move critical supplementary information into the main manuscript text if deemed essential to validate research conclusions.

Supplementary files should be named clearly with unified naming conventions to avoid confusion, such as Figure S1, Table S1, Supplementary Code S1.

Authorship Criteria, CRediT Contribution Taxonomy and Author List Regulation

The journal strictly implements the international ICMJE four-point authorship criterion, and all listed authors must fully meet all qualification requirements: substantial participation in research conception and design, manuscript drafting or critical professional revision, final confirmation of the final submission version, and full accountability for the authenticity and integrity of all research content.

Ghost authorship, honorary authorship, gift authorship, unauthorized author addition or deletion, and unreasonable author order adjustment are strictly prohibited. All modifications to the author list, author order, institutional affiliation information and corresponding author identity after formal submission must be approved in writing by all authors of the manuscript, and submitted to the editorial office for official filing and confirmation.

All accepted manuscripts must complete the full CRediT Taxonomy Author Contribution Statement, accurately dividing and marking the specific academic contribution of each author in conceptualization, methodology, software development, validation, formal analysis, investigation, resource support, data curation, manuscript writing, visualization, supervision, project administration and funding acquisition. Equal-contribution authors and corresponding-author markers must comply with international standardized marking norms.

The corresponding author acts as the sole official contact person communicating with the editorial office throughout the whole review and publication cycle. The corresponding author bears the responsibility to forward all official emails, documents, revision requirements and notifications to all co-authors, and guarantee unified opinions among all authors on all matters related to the manuscript. Multiple corresponding authors are allowed upon reasonable application, and all corresponding author contact information needs to be clearly marked.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure Policy

All authors must fully and actively disclose all potential financial and non-financial conflict-of-interest relationships that may affect the objectivity, impartiality and authenticity of the research results before submission.

Disclosure scope includes but is not limited to: research project funding support, institutional cooperative relationship, commercial consulting cooperation, patent application and licensing benefits, industry employment relationship, competitive research projects and other potential interest bias factors. If there are no conflicts of interest, authors must submit a standardized unified no-conflict declaration.

Active concealment, incomplete disclosure or false declaration of conflicts of interest will be regarded as academic misconduct. Once verified, the manuscript will be rejected during the review stage; if discovered after publication, post-publication correction or retraction procedures will be initiated in accordance with COPE specifications.

Any third-party funders that participate in experimental design, data collection, result interpretation or manuscript writing must be clearly recorded within the conflict of interest statement. Purely financial funding without participation in any research process still requires disclosure of funding sources inside the acknowledgments section.

Comprehensive Research Ethics Requirements

The journal strictly abides by international academic ethics norms and COPE publishing standards. All research involving human subjects, animal experiments, clinical trials, human-derived cell lines, biological specimen collection, field ecological investigation and experimental intervention research must comply with unified ethical review requirements:

Human subject research must provide valid institutional ethical review approval documents and written informed consent records of participants, complying with the revised Declaration of Helsinki.

Animal experimental research must provide official ethical approval certificates, strictly implement the 3R principle (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement), and comply with ARRIVE reporting guidelines.

Clinical trial research must complete official public trial registration and mark the unique registration number and official database link in the manuscript.

Biological sample and wild resource research must comply with biodiversity protection conventions and institutional ecological research specifications.

All research violating ethical norms, lacking valid ethical certification or having incomplete informed consent procedures will be directly rejected, and relevant academic misconduct records will be retained in accordance with the journal’s long-term academic supervision mechanism.

For retrospective analysis research based on publicly available anonymous datasets, authors need to verify that the original data collection followed formal ethical procedures. Even if new experiments are not conducted, relevant ethical descriptions still need to be supplemented within the Materials and Methods section.

Generative AI Usage Disclosure and Supervision Policy

Generative artificial intelligence tools (including but not limited to text generation, code generation, data analysis, chart drawing and intelligent polishing AI models) are not eligible for manuscript authorship and cannot assume academic accountability for research authenticity, accuracy and integrity.

All AI-generated text content, analytical conclusions, charts, diagrams, algorithm code and data processing results involved in the manuscript must be fully and truthfully disclosed. Authors need to record the AI tool name, version, usage scenario and artificial manual verification process. Authors bear ultimate full academic responsibility for all AI-assisted content, including factual verification, citation accuracy, non-plagiarism and data rationality.

Simple AI grammar and spelling polishing without participation in content creation and result deduction can be briefly declared without detailed item-by-item recording. The journal reserves the right to conduct random inspection and academic verification of AI usage compliance of published manuscripts.

Authors should maintain complete logs of all AI interactions, prompts and output records during manuscript preparation. The editorial office may request submission of relevant records when suspected irregularities occur. Fabrication of AI usage disclosure information is treated as academic misconduct.

Standard Peer Review System and Full Editorial Workflow

The journal permanently adopts a double-blind peer review system as the official core evaluation mechanism, ensuring objective, fair, impartial and academic-standard-based manuscript evaluation, eliminating reviewer preference, author identity interference and institutional bias. Neither reviewers nor authors can obtain each other’s personal information during the whole evaluation process.

The complete standardized editorial workflow includes initial editorial screening, academic similarity detection, ethical compliance inspection, scope matching verification, external peer review invitation, multi-expert comprehensive evaluation, editorial comprehensive judgment, revision arrangement, secondary review, final decision and formal publication arrangement.

Initial screening covers format compliance check, scope suitability, duplicate publication detection, academic integrity verification and ethical document inspection. Manuscripts failing initial screening will be desk-rejected without entering external peer review.

External peer review is conducted by independent disciplinary experts. Reviewers provide comprehensive evaluation on research innovation, experimental reliability, logical completeness, academic rigor and writing standardization. The final editorial decision is comprehensively determined based on reviewer comments, editorial evaluation and journal publication standards.

Reviewers are required to complete evaluation reports within the agreed time limit. In circumstances where invited reviewers decline review requests or fail to submit reviews on time, the editorial team will continuously invite alternative qualified experts to guarantee reasonable review cycles. Authors cannot propose direct requirements to appoint or exclude specific potential reviewers. All requests for reviewer exclusion must provide objective, reasonable written justification and are subject to editorial assessment.

Revision Classification and Standard Revision Management

After the editorial office issues a formal review decision, authors must complete targeted revision, data supplementation, logical optimization and language improvement strictly in accordance with reviewer comments and editorial requirements within the specified time limit. All revision responses must be detailed, item-by-item point-to-point replies, clearly explaining revision content and corresponding position in the revised manuscript.

This journal has three standardized types of editorial decisions in addition to the above:

Minor Revision: Minor adjustments of language expression, individual logical optimization and partial supplementary explanation. The revised manuscript may be verified by the editorial team or returned to the original reviewers for secondary confirmation.

Major Revision: Substantial supplementation of experimental data, reconstruction of partial research logic, optimization of research methods and large-scale content improvement. Major revision manuscripts must be re-evaluated by external reviewers.

Reject & Resubmit: The research theme has certain value but contains major defects in design, data or logic. Authors are allowed to reorganize and resubmit as a new manuscript.

The journal implements limited revision rounds to ensure publication efficiency and academic quality. Manuscripts that fail to meet academic standards after repeated major revisions will receive a final permanent rejection decision.

Time Extension Application Rules

Authors who encounter objective difficulties and cannot complete revision within the prescribed time limit may submit a formal written time extension application via official editorial email before the revision deadline. The application must specify the detailed reason for delay and the expected resubmission time. The editorial office will conduct official review and provide formal reply. Unapplied overdue resubmission will be automatically regarded as author’s abandonment of the review qualification, and the manuscript will be closed and terminated.

Extension applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted under any normal circumstances. Authors are recommended to arrange revision plans reasonably in advance.

Full-Stage Manuscript Withdrawal Policy

This page fully specifies withdrawal rules for all manuscript lifecycle stages, covering pre-review stage, under-review stage, post-acceptance pre-publication stage, and post-publication stage, with clear boundaries and standardized handling principles:

Pre-review and Under-Review Stage: Authors may apply for voluntary manuscript withdrawal with legitimate reasons. No administrative fee or handling cost will be charged. The editorial office will terminate the review process and close the manuscript record after confirming the application.

Post-Acceptance Pre-Publication Stage: After peer review completion, editorial confirmation, scheduling arrangement and production preparation, voluntary withdrawal will cause resource loss and schedule adjustment costs. The journal reserves the right to charge standardized administrative handling fees for active author withdrawal at this stage.

Post-Publication Stage: Once the article is officially published online with formal DOI and permanent online retrieval qualification, voluntary withdrawal is no longer supported. All corrections and remedies must be implemented through standardized post-publication governance mechanisms specified below.

Any withdrawal application must be signed and confirmed by the corresponding author. The editorial office reserves the right to require written confirmation from multiple or all co-authors when necessary to avoid disputes among research teams.

Complete Post-Publication Governance Mechanism

The journal establishes a complete and standardized post-publication supervision and remedy system, including Corrigendum, Expression of Concern, and Retraction mechanisms, covering all academic correction, risk warning and misconduct disposal scenarios:

Corrigendum & Erratum
Corrigendum is applicable to unintentional, non-fatal minor errors in published articles, including typographical errors, metadata errors, incorrect author affiliation information, minor figure labeling deviations, and minor description errors that do not affect core research conclusions and experimental authenticity.
Corrigenda cannot be used to modify core experimental data, change research conclusions, cover up experimental defects or alter major research content. All corrigendum notices are permanently and bidirectionally linked with the original article, forming an official fixed part of the academic publication record.

Expression of Concern
An Expression of Concern will be officially published when credible reasonable doubts arise regarding research methodology rationality, data authenticity, ethical compliance or result reproducibility, while formal institutional investigation and evidence verification are still ongoing and conclusive judgment cannot be temporarily made.
This mechanism is used to remind the academic community of existing potential risks without directly negating or retracting the published article. After the investigation is completed, the journal will issue supplementary closure announcement or initiate retraction procedures according to the final verification result.

Retraction Policy
Retraction is the highest-level academic remedy measure for serious academic misconduct and major research defects. The journal will initiate formal retraction procedures when conclusive verified evidence confirms any of the following circumstances: data fabrication, data falsification, serious plagiarism, duplicate publication, unauthorized republishing, serious ethical violation, fake experimental records, undisclosed major conflict of interest, review manipulation, or other behaviors seriously violating international academic integrity norms.
After retraction is approved by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board, an official retraction notice will be published and permanently linked to the original article. The original article will remain online with a clear and permanent “RETRACTED” watermark to retain complete academic publication records and facilitate academic traceability.

Author Appeal and Investigation Procedure

Authors who disagree with editorial decisions, review results or post-publication disposal results may submit a formal written appeal via the official editorial email within the specified time limit, providing detailed appeal reasons and valid supporting evidence. The Editorial Board will organize independent re-investigation, re-evaluation and issue a final official judgment, which represents the final result of the journal and cannot be appealed repeatedly.

Appeals based purely on disagreement with reviewers’ academic viewpoints without objective factual evidence will not be accepted. The journal sets a unified appeal time window. All appeal submissions beyond the prescribed time limit will be rejected directly.

Open Access License, Copyright Regulation

All manuscripts formally accepted and published by AIJSTR adopt the CC BY 4.0 International Open Access License, the most authoritative and mainstream open access specification recognized by global academic databases. This copyright rule is the permanent official policy of the journal.

Under this license, authors permanently retain full copyright of their research achievements. All global readers and academic institutions can freely read, download, cite, disseminate, translate and secondary reuse published articles, provided that standardized complete original citation is attached. The journal reserves the right of official academic publication and permanent digital archiving. No third party may use published articles for commercial profit without legitimate authorization.

Authors confirm that submitted manuscripts do not contain any content whose copyright belongs to a third party without proper authorization. Authors bear all legal liabilities caused by copyright infringement problems within submitted works.

APC Charging Standard and Institutional Regulation

Article Processing Charges (APC) cover all permanent operating costs including editorial management, peer review organization, academic quality supervision, typesetting production, DOI registration, long-term digital archiving and permanent open access service. APC is only invoiced and collected after formal manuscript acceptance. No any fee is charged in initial screening and peer review stages. No hidden charges or mandatory consumption items exist in the entire publication process.

The journal formulates standardized APC discount policies for eligible researchers including university students, academic faculty and researchers from low- and middle-income regions. Discount conditions, application scope and verification standards are fully specified within the journal’s official policy system.

Discount applications must be submitted together with valid supporting materials before APC payment. Discount approval is subject to official editorial review, and the journal reserves the right to reject incomplete or ineligible discount applications.

Value-Added Service Specification and Independence Statement

Optional value-added services such as professional language polishing, priority publication and figure optimization are independent paid items separated from the editorial review workflow. All value-added service rules, service scope and charging standards are uniformly regulated by the journal’s official system.

Purchase of any value-added service will never interfere with editorial judgment, peer review results and final acceptance decisions. All value-added services are only open for selection after conditional acceptance notification, and cannot be purchased or applied for during pre-submission, initial review or external peer review stages.

All value-added services are operated by Apex Scholarly Publications LLC, independent of the editorial board’s peer review evaluation work. The editorial team will not participate in the sales, promotion or delivery of commercial value-added services.

APC Refund Regulation

Refund conditions and processing standards for APC fees and value-added service fees are clearly defined in the journal’s official policy system. Refund judgment is based on manuscript status, editorial progress and service completion degree to ensure standardized, transparent and fair settlement principles.

Once typesetting production work commences after acceptance, partial APC costs have already been consumed for resource arrangement. Complete APC refunds cannot be guaranteed under most voluntary withdrawal scenarios after production starts.
